INTRODUCING GOOGLEBOOK SO IT FLIPPED
I came on early, cutting the animatic that went in front of the client. Getting the message across, timing it to music. The plan then was a 30-second sizzle. Hardware in nice lighting, logo at the end. A few rounds in the client wanted more of the software. So it flipped. Mostly UI, hardware as a reveal, and 60 seconds instead of 30.
MY FAVORITE PART
My role shifted with it. I animated a bunch of the shots myself early on, then handed them off as leading took over. Getting animators onto shots, keeping the quality even across all of them. When notes pile up I try to keep it light. Mostly people just need to hear what they're good at and that it matters to the film. That's my favorite part of the job.
